Resnick New York airport mistery.

On the mountain next to Resnick/N89 airport in Ellenville, New York, there is a big number "12" painted on a small clearing. White numbers, blue background, visible from the ground.
Any idea what is it?

Good guess - couldn't find any connection other than "grade 12"
Thanks for finding it - I checked Google maps but was looking much closer to the airport, from memory I thought it was across the runway.
