Hi Everyone,

I am a new memeber, my name is Randy. I live in Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada, but spend most of my time in northern Alberta, north of Fort Mcmurray. I just put a deposit down on a Kitfox IV-1050 that I will be picking up near the end of the month.

Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself, I'm a private pilot who previously owned a Piper Tri-Pacer, but I am excited about having a Kitfox and looking forward to doing some off airport work in it. Eventually I'd like to work my way up to landing on sandbars and river banks, but will start with less difficult off-strip stuff first. My plane also has skis so I am looking forward to trying those out next winter.

Welcome, I think you will find this is a fun place to hang out and the plane.... well, needless to say, will be a blast.

For what you intend to do, you picked the best Kitfox out there. Keeping it light will do the trick. Welcome.

Hey Randy, I'm going to hazard a guess, but what site are you on? I've been at CNRL Horizon, Albian Sands, Voyageur, Statoil Leismer, Kearl Lake, and CNRL Kirby.

Hi Esser,

I'm at a brand new plant that is being built by Southern Pacific at McKay River, south of the CNRL Horizon site.
