HI My name is Steve, I live in southeast Mich. I am new to this forum stuff but have been an on looker here for some time now. I completed a Super Sport Last April after four years of building off and on. I think I was one of the first planes sold by John after he started running the new Kitfox. I did use the 912ULS, IVO med. prop. I fly out on my yard, where I cut my lawn to look like a runway of about 1100 feet long. I now have about 70 hours on the plane without any problems. I have attached a picture of the plane. Thanks for your posts and I hope to continue to gain knowledge from this forum.

Welcome, glad to have you, hope you can make it to the North East fly-in (once we figure out when and where). I don't see the picture though, did you attach it or create an album?

Thanks, I think the hardest part of building this plane was working out a paint job. I used the aero-thane with the limited color choices. Took a summer to paint in my home shop. I am real happy with the finish.

Welcome Steve,

Your plane is very nice looking.

I completely agree with you on selecting the paint scheme. It was the single most challenging part of the project for me as well.

But I will say that when I finally figured it out, I knew it was the right look I was hoping for and nobody could change my mind on a single element of it.
