I have been inspired by all the posts and pictures so here is my latest. Took a little flight to the river. Was a small rock island so landed on the ice and stopped on the rocks. Planned the line to avoid the biggest rocks. Did not plan quiet good enough and hit a big one that bent my axle.:( Landed back home without incidence. Changed axle and all is well. No damage to frame or landing gear. Good to know the axle bends instead of the landing gear. Makes for easy repair. My good wife questions my judgement to want to do things like this with my kitfox. Because I can...learnt some more and move on. She says I've been watching to much "Big Rocks, Long Props" videos. Maybe I have... but went back yesterday to do it again successfully:D.
I know we have the best kitplane out there...now go fly em...

Ouch!
But nice job of going back and nailing it.

No wonder why you bent the Axle, I would imagine you had a difficult time getting you set up for landing right, can you even see over the Instrument Panel, and besides you look a little young to be flying, I thought you had to be 16 to Solo!

I am glad to see you got home OK to take care of the little guy!

Grandson was not with me. Would never try that stuff with anyone aboard. He was waiting at home for me. He loves sitting in the kitfox and making airplane noises. You would think he was building one. I want to get him hooked early for future adventures together.
