I check to change my dash panel alu....with a carbon fiber plate.

It's a good idea?

Where a can buy a carbon fiber plate.

On the left side of the page in the column titled "Products" click on
Carbon Fiber Sheets. Pick your thickness and what dimensions you need
for your panel. Not inexpensive though.
I was considering the same change to my model 4 panel.

They have a veneer which you can apply to your existing panel. Just a thought.

You can search for carbon fiber sheet on Amazon.com; might be something useful there.

OK, would the carbon fiber sheet be as stong as aluminum and how much weight could possibly be saved and would it hold as much gages as the aluminum without breaking?
