Hi all,
I am looking for real operating temperatures people are getting with their 912ULS ' s .
I know there are lots of variables, but I am interested in what you all are getting for running temps.
On my KF5 smooth cowl , Outside air 40 F at 5000 rpm , 25.5 manifold INHG prop in cruise
with approx 2/3 of oil cooler taped over= oil 206 F ,
CHT's #2 = 190F ,#3= 195F .
EGT's # 1= 1341F #2= 1364F #3= 1312F #4= 1369F
coolant 171 F ( measured just before going into rad) also was running cockpit heater
I am still having rough running in the 2500-3000 rpm range after multiple carb syncs and all carb rubber parts being replaced(O-rings, diaphragms, sockets) . I am thinking of dropping my carb needles to position # 2 to lean out the mixture in the mid range. needles are currently in the #3 position. The engine performs well in all other areas except the 2500-3000 rpm range.
I would like to know what others are getting for running temps to help decide what to try next.
