Well I'm happy to say my engine start went as smooth as I could have ever hoped for. I've been working on building this Model IV for 6 years and the engine sat in it's crate for about 8 before this start. We put the fluids in, purged the oil system until we saw pressure and visually set the carbs. I was ready for it to run a little rough at first but it surprised the heck out of me. A big thanks goes out to Steve Kellander and Murle Williams for all the help. Can't wipe this grin off my face and I haven't even flown it yet. :D

Congrats. Dan.:D Won't be long now.

:) Thanks to John McBean. John ran me through the oil purge procedure when we couldn't put our hands on the Rotax installation manual just before first start. Worked perfectly. Five stars for tech support from Kitfox Aircraft.
