John,
Best Western says they do NOT have a courtesy car to pick us up from the Nampa or Homedale airport. Is there some other form of transportation for this?

Worse than that. They said they are located 7 miles from an airport. You'll either have to slip it in to the parking lot or walk 7 miles to and from your plane and your room.

Transportation to and from hotels usually has not be a problem guys. Usually plenty of cars to haul folks with.

But, if you want/need to get a rental car, Enterprise (Caldwell, 208-455-3431) will deliver one for you to Silverhawk Aviation (208-453-8577) which is directly north(west) and adjacent to the fuel pumps and airport restaurant at EUL. You can leave the car and keys with Silverhawk on your way home; they're in cahoots with Enterprise and do this on a regular, full-time basis. We've used them for our last couple visits without a hitch. They're all VERY nice folks and will probably bend your ear to learn more about your flight. Give 'em a try!

OBTW: Both the Best Western and La Quinta sit side-by-side and about a mile northwest of the airport, right along the Interstate; just about abeam the base-to-final corner for Runway 12.

I'm really looking forward to the fly-in with John & Debra, and hopefully meeting some of the people on this forum as well as seeing a lot of Kitfox. I'll be flying my "Thorpfox";) from Denver, along with my friend Stan in his Mod. IV, and we plan to arrive on Friday.

I landed at Caldwell and got a 7 dollar cab to the Best Western. All went smoothly. I could make an airport run in a borrowed car in the morning. It will all work out.
