Full Lotus "Edge Mounting Components"

Does any have experience with this system of mounting the Full Lotus Floats using your existing landing gear? What are the pros and cons over more traditional approaches?

Yes: I have mounted both Full Lotus and Puddle Jumper floats on my model 111. Makes mounting very easy but I found the floats were too close together. Dipped a wing in the water a couple of times while turning. Have floats off now for painting and will remount with proper rigging. Have pics on my profile of my plane on floats. Cheers.
