Hello everyone, I'm new to the 912 world and was wondering what everyone else is seeing for engine data. Oil pressure, oil temp, cht temp and does anyone run egt temps? in the short time I have flown mine my cht temps seem low to me, between 150f and 175f, is this normal?

Thanks~Cain B

The cylinder head temp probes in reality measure the coolant temp. 150° to 175° is a little cool, but not terrible. I try to run 190-210°.

Oil temp needs to get up to at least 180° at the tank in order to boil off moisture. Using synthetic oil, the temp redline is 280°+. At operating temps and rpm, pressure is 50-60 psi in my plane.

I usually show 1000-1200° for egts under high power settings. This, really, is not a critical element to monitor.

I hope this helps...

rpm 5270 , oil temp 190 , oil pressure 64 psi , egt 1443f , 183 cht or water temp . not really water temp as i use the evans waterless coolant . i also have a seperate coolant temp indication but never look at it .
