Construction Complete

After 3.5 yrs and approx 1300hrs, N568DP now has a new airworthiness certificate. Inspection was Sat morning and everything checked out. Had to replace a couple of washers & tighten some jam nuts and clamps. It was a great feeling to have a DAR go over the plane and pronounce it airworthy.

Vacation is next week, so the plan is to get it to the airport and prep for the first flight. Going to be a long week.

Thanks guys, for the encouragement. I'm still in that state of "am I really thru with this", "did I really build an airplane"?? I think it will finally hit me when the wheels leave the ground.

Here is N568DP, minus paint on the cowling, & paint stripes on the tailfeathers. Working on painting those items before going to the airport to fly.
