Hey fellow Kitfoxers,

The last Saturday of most months, Casa Grande airport (AZ) has a pancake breakfast fly-in. I figured I'd take my spankin-new plane (now that I'm +55 hours) up this weekend. And since it's Memorial Day weekend, maybe it might be fun. So, calling any other fliers, I'll be there 7-10am if anybody is into swapping Kitfox stories.

Chris, good to see the hours building up.
If it's not snowing I'll try to get down. ;)

Hey Steve, does that mean you have a new windsheild?
I'll get 78KA down if it doesn't snow.

Papa, new windshield installed and both doors finished. Thanks Desert Fox's 1 & 6 and Dan B. for the assistance.:)

I'll try to preempt some of my much-needed Saturday beauty sleep and give it a shot too...IF it doesn't snow...or BLOW! What's with this 30+ knot stuff we've been getting sanded with lately anyway? ENOUGH AWREADY!

Chris, had to abort the flight to Casa Grande this morning. Stuck valve on the 912S had me doing a great airshow smoke routine in front of my hangar.
Kitfox covered in oil took awhile to clean up. Started it again and all is seemingly well now. Too late to get to Casa Grande and back before the winds kick up to 35 mph this afternoon. Next couple flights will be confined to the traffic pattern to make sure it is sorted out.
We'll keep trying to connect and do some flying. My guardian angels were telling me to stay on the ground this morning. I listen when they speak.

Papa made it to Casa Grande in Pau Hana, good to see
Chris and Russ's planes. I planned to fly in 78KA but it
was locked in a friends hangar and my key didn't work.
Threw the cowls on 215L preflight and away. New Aera,
tried to figure it out as I flew. Gotta read the manual I
guess.

Me? Took one look at the NOAA winds forecast, noticed my palm trees' fronds were already heading toward South Dakota; the oil smoke emanating from the direction of Deer Valley Airport caused me to call Desert Fox 4 who said, between coughs and gasps, that he couldn't tell what the weather was doing 'cuz the smoke from the BP oil well explosion under his cowl was obscuring his view. I related that it probably wasn't safe to fly anyway because there was a wild man in a Kitfox, in obvious need of some instruction manual study, careening toward Casa Grande at the speed of smell!

That's when I heard this tiny voice in my head saying "Maybe that Rapture nut was just one week off," so I swallowed my hangar key for insurance and went home. (Yeah...that's the ticket...;))
