Widen the Factory Landing Gear?

Wondering if anyone has tryed to widen their stock gear instead of purchasing the Bush or Highwing gear?...Any thoughts about doing it?..Dan.

Well, I'm sure widening the gear is possible but, there are several advantages to bush gear.

1. Fits perfect with no modifications necessary, other than extending brake lines
2. Transforms the plane into something controllable
3. I actually got a speed increase with my Highwing gear
4. Looks "cool"
5. Eliminates the possibility of structural issues on anything but a smooth landing, as per the picture below.

If you want old gear to experiment with, cut up, destroy...etc, I still have my old,bungee gear and it is available FREE to anyone.
