I have this picture as a desktop background on my work computer and I get lots of comments from co-workers and customers on the unusual view from above. It shows about 60feet into the takeoff of my Kitfox 4, 1200 912S at our cottage on one of the 30,000 islands in Georgian Bay. The picture was taken last summer by my wife from the cottage deck.
It reminds me of my instructor’s frequent comments (about 30-odd years ago) “Right rudder, nose down to get on the step!”
It is great to look at summer flying pictures this time of the year, the next time I’ll be at that spot, the water will be ice and I’ll be on skis.

Very nice shot! I have all my flying pics set for the screen saver. I dont get much work done in the office some days as I just sit and stare at the screen and get lost.

It would be cool to put up all our favorite flying pics someplace so we could make a DVD or just pick them off the site for screen savers or back grounds.

GREAT SHOT, makes me think that I shouldn't have sold the floats to you.

Maybe I'll look for another set and get my kitfox on floats again.

Hey there Ron, that is a very cool shot and wallpaper worthy for sure! Did you ever figure out a good spray rail?

Hi Doug,
I attached 4" aluminum rails going back 4' on an angle from the bumper. It seems to help somewhat. I found that fast taxiing on the step (if the conditions are right) is the best way to void spray.
