Last Wednesday night N90TY was signed off to fly!:) She is a model IV-1050 long wing with a 912S. Modifications include a baggage area comperable to a series 5 or 6, bush gear, a dorsal fin, the oil tank is on the lower right side of the firewall, and a trimmable elevator from Highwing LLC. She weighs 615 lbs. empty, and loves to fly. It takes off slightly shorter than our Rans S-7s, climbs considerably better and handles like a Porche. After about 30 landings I can get her down and stopped almost as short as the Rans, but it takes a totally different technique. She still needs her seat pan upholstered and few other finishing touches done, but that will come. Kitfoxes are GREAT!!!:D

Well, you beat me Ty. But I am close behind. I don't think I can hope for the 615 lbs.

Fantastic looking Kitfox Ty. I think you nailed it.
615 lbs. with a Rotax 100hp and long wings should make for a fun climb rate.
Love the color.

I'll take some pics of the baggage and oil tank soon. I figured you would love the color Steve and it does climb like a home sick angel, right around 1500 feet a minute, and I really do have to work at it to get it down to the runway:rolleyes:. I found some pictures of the baggage before anything was covered to give an idea of its size. It think it is about 3'x2' but not exactly sure.

Ty,
very nice looking. I really like the luggage area. Hmmm, I wonder if I could fit something like that in mine...winter's coming and the ol' mind is considering a few things.

Hey! Thanks everyone. The man really deserving the thanks is my father Mark. He is the one who did most everything you see. I just helped out whenever I could. How long do you think it will be until yours is flying Lowell???
