Hi all, Soon I will be swapping my landing gear to the Highwing LLC bush gear I just received. What is the general consensus on suspending the airplane during the gear swap? Is the motor mount strong enough for this purpose?

Thanks,

I removed the cowling and put a nylon strap around the 2 top motor mounts against the fiewall when I mounted my bush gear. I used an engine hoist. I also had the tail wheel anchored down with some weights so that it wouldn't tip on its nose during lifting (engine weight)
Picture is worth a thousand words and I found these on my computer. I hope they help !
You will love the gear when you have it installed !

Airdale (http://www.airdale.com/) has a set of screw jacks that fit under the lift struts and tail, meant for installing floats. I have used them on my Kitfox so I can attest to them fitting.

Brett was showing them off at the Avid lunch on Thursday along with his super cool, wheel-through, tail ski for a Maul tailwheel...
