I have been flying my Super Sport now for 2 years, 285 hours. The Continental 0-200 engine was built by Lycon with high compression forged pistons, port & flowed heads, ceramic coated piston tops (cooler oil temps) and precision balanced with a Marvel-Schebler carburetor. During that entire time I have never been able to get my EGTs to be even remotely close. I have always had over a 200 degree temperature differential. Doesn't matter what power setting or mixture setting, that's just what I have had to live with. I have always felt that I am running way too cool on 2 cylinders and the other 2 closer, which contributes to a thirsty fuel consumption and fouling of the cool plugs.
I have recently installed the Rotec Throttle Body Injection with amazing results. I have about 5 hours on it now and I am consistantly burning more than 20% less fuel with more power. My EGTs are now much closer. Just thought I would share this with everyone. Below are the results.

With Marvel-Schebler carburetor

RPM MP GPH EGT1 EGT2 EGT3 EGT4
2400 16.9 5.1 1082 1120 1283 1229
2500 17.6 5.5 1077 1119 1298 1248
2500 17.7 5.6 1079 1119 1309 1262
2600 18.2 6.2 1084 1117 1288 1266

With Rotec TBI-40-3 Throttle Body Injection

RPM MP GPH EGT1 EGT2 EGT3 EGT4
2500 17.5 4.5 1210 1285 1236 1265
2600 18.0 4.8 1218 1300 1261 1279

Hi Mike, interesting post great data you shared, I see that the EGT's are much improved and I really like how your fuel consumption decreased that's always nice. I sure would like to try one on my 0200 Champ I like your fuel consumption but the FSAA wouldn't go for it readily:(.
