I'm wanting to build the SS7 - but I'm looking at using engine options other than the Rotex, Cont/Lyc, Jab.

The issue of "where is the thrust line?" will have to be considered.

It appears that there might be an acceptable tolerance depending on which engine is used. I'm speaking vertical placement of the propeller (thrust line) in relation to the longitudinal axis of the airplane.

For those of you building with "non-standard" engines, how did you resolve this issue.

Thanks

I am using an 0-200 Continental. I have the factory mount. I hope they took all your concerns into account when they designed the mount. My plane has not flown yet. Jim

Jim - thanks for your reply

In this case "they" is me.:D

I have talked to several guys that have airplanes fairly close to me and when we can get together - I'm going to fly down and see them and I'll take my own measurments from their airplanes.

Thanks again
