Is anyone rib stitching the fabric under the tank to the false rib? Just wanted to double check if it was needed or not.

I was told not necessary on a phone call to the factory. I just laid in “fake” stitches under the finishing tape for the look.

I did the same thing. Looked more consistent to me as well.

I did do the ribstitching to that false rib. Figured it couldn't hurt, and might help.

Like Jim, and for the same reasons, I did as well. This area takes a pretty good beating in the prop wash. It was a pain to do, but you can custom make a needle with a coat hanger and get it done.

Thanks. I'll probably rib stitch it as well. Can't hurt.

Thanks Jerry. I'll probably do the same.

I used Oratex, no rib stiching top or bottom along the number two rib on mine. Nor are there any on the false rib. 500 hrs now, no indications of separation. For those who may be curious.

Shoot. Just got home from the plane. I need to clarify by saying I in fact did stitch the number two and three trailing edge ribs. the two ribs immediately behind the tank. No stitch on the one immediately below the tank.
