Coffee and folding chair. After the nice photo of the plane previously posted, I had to take my other half out to enjoy the sunrise at her request. It was 85 degrees at 0600. Perfect! Thanks for all the morning fly out pics Desertfox4. Keeps me seeking new places and experiences. I also keep pushing this stuff onto Todd and Fred who are two guys I am waiting for to finish their Series 7s. Expecting to share these kinds of experiences with them soon. Their planes are coming along! These fires here aren't helping Todd though. He has been kinda busy.

Had a surprise visitor from the West stop by yesterday at Indian Hills Airpark on his way to Phoenix to visit family.
Thanks for taking time to drop in Eddie. Papa says hi. 😄

Good Lord, its been five days already. Vacation has been good. One of the highlights was finding that you were home. Another was that my son has come home from Virginia. His Coast Guard Cutter brought in quite a haul this time. 1/2 a Billion $ in cocaine. Made the news down in Florida when they brought it in. Anyhow, it was a great visit there at Indian Hills. We will do it again sometime, hopefully sooner than later.

About 5 miles South of Quartzite on a remote spot away from all the thousands of campers.
Beautiful morning for some desert flying. Some locals drove out to see the airplanes.

A little fog laying in the Harcuvar Mountains at Cunningham Pass after
a light rain shower passed through last evening.

A stop at the Cleopatra Mine strip after breakfast @ Wayside cafe near Alamo Lake.
This strip served the mine for decades. Now a neat stop for some solitude and if so inclined,
some of the best star gazing available and remote camping. I may have to give that a try sometime.
Zero light pollution here. A couple of airpark residents have some pretty fine telescopes.
Just wild boroughs passing through on occasion and nearest “neighbor” is 10 miles.
Amazing where these little airplanes can go.

Thank you Steve. That was a great visit. Highlight of the trip. Look for me tomorrow on my way home.
while I’m here, whomever it is who lives at Stellar Airpark please drop me your contact info in a PM. I wanted to stop by yesterday as I flew over but had no way to reach out.
