Looking for comment --- Looking at rebuilding/refurbishing a KF2... it has not been wrecked just neglected. Will strip it down to pile of parts and clean/bead blast parts and repaint and reassemble. Are there any modifications/changes/additions that would be wise to perform while tore down to make this a better airplane later? Does anyone have wing rib templates or CAD drawings for the KF2 that they would be willing to share or sell? If anyone has KF2 parts for sale that would aid in the restoration of this plane please let me know. Thanks!

Avidfoxflyers.com is more geared towards the early foxes,
Might check there to see what they have to say.

There are multiple service bulletins for all models of Kitfoxes you should go through those and make sure they are all complied with.

Couple of the big ones are reinforcing the rib tails and rudder pedals. Also the original rudder/ brake pedal geometry is pretty bad, you won't be able to get very good braking power.

Good luck sounds like fun.

I did that. Keep it light. Don’t overpaint. Min radios. The rudder is notoriously small, some have increased the size. Practice on a wide unlighted runway, and expect a few excursions. Finding a CFI will be tough. Swing through Nashville for a show and tell.
