Rotax 912 oil tank modification

I have a kitfox model IV with a Rotax 912 engine. The oil tank is too long to fit into the firewall opening and needs to be shortened. I know this will involve cutting a section out of the tank and rewelding by a certified welder. I need to know how much of the tank needs to be sectioned out and a final length dimension for the modified tank. I believe Skystar used to do this modification, but are no longer in business. I would appreciate it if anyone has this modification and can give me the oil tank dimensions. Thank you. T.W. Sullivan

It was very little, just enough to remove the domed portion of the tank at the bottom.
