I'm working on laying out my instrument panel, and I've been reading through the 912iS installation and operator's manuals to figure out what switches and warning lamps are required for a basic installation with just the two internal alternators.

Here's what I've come up with. Can someone with an installed 912iS tell me if I'm missing anything? Thanks!

Switches:

Master [SPST]
Lane A [SPST]
Lane B [SPST]
Fuel Pump 1 [SPST]
Fuel Pump 2 [SPST]
Backup Battery [DPST, Locking Lever]
Start Power [DPST, Momentary]
Starter [SPST, Momentary]

Warning Lamps:

Lane A
Lane B

You might consider putting in an alt switch and an avionics switch. Otherwise you got it.

I was under the impression that the Rotax "fuse box" managed the two internal alternators automatically. Is it possible to switch them on/off manually? If so, I presume the pilot only has control of the #2, 30-amp unit...

Which part is correct -- that the fuse box automatically controls both alternators, or that the pilot can control the #2 alternator manually?

Sorry. The EMS controls the switching of the alternators - you can not manually control them. I believe the switchover occurs at 2500rpms.
