For all the people without a trim position indicator I offer you this idea.
Our aircraft at work have these for the mechanics to rig the horizontal stab.

My friends daughter cut this out of vinyl for my airplane.

I just use the middle screw.

That’s what I do too. I usually like it lined up just slightly above that screw. Before I shut-down I hold the the switch in “down” trim for a count of 4 or 5 and that puts it in a good position for takeoff again. I don’t find it to be very critical for me. Things change a little bit, of course, depending on how you’re loaded & where the CG is.

I use the screw also. I have it on my check list to turn on the master switch and to reset the pitch trim for take-off and to flatten the prop then turn the master back off and do my walk-around inspection.

I guess I wasted .50 having the decal made. Back to my coloring book.

Well, I thought it was a pretty good idea. My neighbor's wife has a little CNC cutter machine and has offered to cut decals for me. I might just copy it.

I think it's a good idea too, Dave. There's usually more than one way to skin a cat.

Those guys are just jealous because they don't have an arrow. :D

Not opposed to the arrow, after having a cable trim indicator and an electric one, both with hassles, concur with saving complexity for other parts of the aircraft.

Yeah, that's it. Dave, when's the hanger party?

Yeah, that's it. Dave, when's the hanger party?

Probably mid November
