Hi Guys

Propeller hub failed, prop went fully fine. Ended up in a field no injuries. Take a look at the repair picture.
Nose wheel folded under prop struck the ground. Engine shock loaded. Everything forward of firewall destroyed. Thankfully we walked away. Rebuilding as a Tail dragger.

Glad you are all OK. Hope the rebuild goes well. Keep us posted Alan. Curious what prop it was.

Arplast pv50. Lead screw stripped in flight so prop went into full fine giving me lots of rpm with no thrust. Unknown to me I should of had shims fitted so that full mechanical fine in this failure mode still gave sufficient thrust. We live and learn.

Very interesting. Nice Pic. Thanks for posting it. For some reason I find repairs of tube airframes interesting. I hope I never need the knowledge. Glad your all fine.

I did the prep. We have to use certified caa welders in the UK.
