Just checked (KBDG) Blanding, Utah municipal. 64 gusting to 100 mph. 😲 Not exactly a Kitfox day there today.

And here in Green River Utah, u34, we had those winds with rain so heavy it looked like fog.
The constant lightning and hail was impressive also.

I think it’s the same thing that finally hit us... 100 mph gusts in the mountains and I think 98 mph at DIA.

I just read on the internet (I don't have t.v.) that Saturdays' phenomenon was a "rare derecho". The first one west of the Rockies. I'll bet there are few insurance claims being filed today. I'm glad we only lost thigh size branches off the cotton woods, and none of them fell on the RVs here at my campground.:eek:

I just flew a Cardinal RG across the country and it was brutal. Leaving Casper, WY we had 65 knots on the nose for quite a while

65 knots on the nose in a Cardinal is not a fun flight.
