I have a KitfoxIV with the fiberglass tanks and I know that using fuel with ethanol will ruin the tank. My question is that when traveling I will probably have to use 100LL and if I add Decalin to reduce the lead build up, might it damage my tanks like fuel with ethanol would? I have a 912UL.

Thanks for your input.

wileyfox,

I'm no expert, but I don't think it will. Many people use it, and I haven't heard of any problems.

No.
Ran my model 4 with 912uls for 13 years and 750 hours. All but two tankfuls were 100LL with Decalin.
The two tankfuls of auto gas were not as successful.☹️

Ethanol Free gas is unavailable in my area. I have been running 100LL with decalin since day one with no issues. I borescoped the tanks on the last annual and still, good to go.
