I am ready to mount my flapperon brackets and I am working from a Kitfox 4 Classic manual dated 2002. This manual is referencing two brackets per hinge, whereas I have the older style brackets that have four brackets per hinge. Does anyone have a manual from the mid 90s that can post a photo of the page showing how to mount these brackets? I could just slide them on until they are snug but I thought I would check here first.

I really don't know enough about the 4s but those in the pic look exactly like "the new" kind used on the Series 7. I suggest that it might help you to reference the series 7 build manual that is available for view on the Kitfox Website. Unless somebody offers up exactly what you're requesting.

The drawing I saw in the 7 manual looks like the drawing I have in my newer 4 manual. It looks like the bracket only attaches to the top of the wing. I have a drawing showing how to set up the control linkage for the Model 4 that was dated '92 that shows the top and bottom brackets.
Worst case I slide the brackets in as far as possible and hope for the best. It won't move the flaperon much forward or back. I don't know what the reasoning was to just attach to the top of the rib. I like the loading better by attaching to both sides.

Yes, the brackets pictured mount to the top and bottom of the wing. Those are exactly what my model 4 has.
Ah yes, I looked myself, I see your dilemma now.

I have my build manual for my IV speedster and will get you the pages in a little bit. Not in the house right now but soon.

Hope this helps. Had to split it up due to file size limits.
