New user saying hi

Hi all,

I'm a non-flyer looking to pursue my PPL using the GI Bill in a few years & have always admired backcountry/off-field aviation. I'm located in San Diego & am curious if there are any pilot-owners within a 2.5hr radius that would be willing to meet & show me their plane, as I have never been in a similar aircraft before.

I hope that you are successful with your GI bill. I was denied because I went over some 10 yr rule. Kind of disappointed because I paid into the program and thought “erroneously” that it was able to be used anytime that I’d like. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I lived in San Diego for 28 yrs. in IB and Coronado.
I flew out of Brown field and Montgomery.
If you decide to build, look up EAA ch.14 located at Brown Field.
Great bunch of guys who are willing to help and fly just about everything!
