Hello,

I would like to check a series 7 frame for true alignment.
Does anyone have standard station and triangulation information they can share?

Referring to the attached image:
If I level the cabin in both directions, the wing attach points and fuse bottom should be parallel and level. (blue and green)
Once this is done, what angle should the horizontal stabilizer attach point be at?
What would be the measurement from the green floor to the tail wheel attach point?
Should the upper longeron (yellow) be parallel with anything?
How long is the rudder attach tube (purple)?

I’ve got 6 different lasers on this frame and I want to make sure its proper before I have it tested and continue building it.
I can check a series 5 frame but I don't know if this data would be the same...?
Appreciate any info I can get.
Thanks!

I think that info is proprietary since Kitfox does not sell scratch build plans. I doubt you will get any answers, but maybe I am wrong.

Thanks Jim.
I figured as much. I know the stance of the factory sharing anything considered engineering information.
I was hoping someone building could take a few measurements and even pm them. I'm going to check the 5 tomorrow.

Kitfox uses full jigs to build the fuselage.. and all weldements. Unless there was an accident or incident to alter the airframe after construction by the factory, it is in it's proper alignment.

There was definitely an incident.

Just wanted to say thank you and close off the topic. I got all the measurements I needed.
I won't post them publicly because that's not appropriate.
Back to building.
