I am building a Super Sport, and I'm thinking that in the future I may want to install the type of landing gear like Trent Palmers, or like the TSi kit fox. But my fuselage doesn't have the weldments for that kind of gear. What are people doing about that? You are guys welding on tabs during your build so you don't have to destroy the fabric to do it later? Or are you just happy using the stock aluminum gear? I always thought that Kitfox welded on those tabs because they are the same tabs that floats would use, but I guess they stopped doing that for some reason. I'm disappointed in that.

I'm just not sure if I should do it now, or forever just use the stock gear??

Look closely at pics of STI. Heavy duty gear and floats mount to existing gear mounts in fuselage. A clean and elegant solution

I’m happy with my stock gear. It has done everything I’ve asked of it up to now. The cabane gear looks good but it’s super draggy. Slowed one guy I know down 10kts.

The TK 1 suspension boys were awesome to work with.
Got my parts in 3 days.
Baby bushwheel to match is on backorder.
Hopefully it will help absorb my screwups and keep the airframe together.
5" wider than the old gear.
Lands on pillows.
Need some tire now.
