Starting the Fabric Process

  1. Wing and flapperons hanging on the wall with the hanging shelves and hanging fuselage. The only thing firmly on the earth are the saw horses.
  2. Fabric is cut to the measurements of the wing ready to cemented to the leading edge.
  3. Tacking the reenforcement plates around the lift strut points under the fabric.
  4. Fabrication of reinforcement plates to go around the cuts for the jury strut attachment points on the wing. I realize this is a little over kill but...
  5. One wing covered and hanging the next is on the saw horses to be covered
  6. Tacking down the fabric
  7. The bottom tightened with the other wing hanging and ready for the iron.
