Version 2 Camera Mount

This was the most complex and most complete of the five camera mount systems I installed. It did everything I wanted it to do except produce HD video. For this reason, there was no time for rest.
  1. Ready to Fly
  2. Kitfox with Camera Cavanaugh Bay, Idaho
  3. Camera in the mount
  4. The hard wired remote camera control
  5. To secure the camera, a latching mechanism was designed - once again to eliminate the need for tools.
  6. Ready to install. It was found that the electrical plugs were sufficient to secure the Bug Wiper to the mount
  7. The back of the Bug Wiper showing electrical contacts and the infrared LCD positioned to control most camera functions
  8. The bug wiper attachment using roll film designed for clearing mud from Motocross racer's goggles
  9. Details of the working parts
  10. Camera, Bugwiper in place ready for the covers
  11. To make changing the tapes easier, eliminating the need for tools was the goal
  12. The attachment buttons and locks
  13. Camera Monitor It was found that for ideal viewing, the monitor was mounted to the door. When flying with the doors open, the monitor could be...
  14. Joy Stick with buttons for all controls
  15. Cable control output from the Joy Stick
  16. Cable inlet to the cross tube
  17. Cable outlet to lift strut
  18. Another view
  19. Control cable runs
  20. The basic mount frame
  21. The external controls used for joy stick control of Auto Focus/Iris Control using solenoids and levers to push the external buttons on the camera
  22. Camera Mount without the camera showing the location of the external controls
