Stan,
In plane years, 85DD is still a pup! She got her AW in 1986. Total Time on Airframe is now 1,337 hours. In 1999 a Rotax 912A 80 HP was installed which now has 678 Total Time on it. I've put close to 400 of those hours on the engine.

Yeah, beautiful, ain't it?
In my pre-buying stage I met a guy that went to the manufacturer (we live in the Netherlands...) and got this video on VHS.
I sort of saw it by coincidence - but it surely got the seed of greed growing!
And now I have build one myself.
Unbelievable, undiscribable.
Absolutely beautiful! I've been watching that for years and never get tired of it. Some of you might remember back in the 90's when Denny Aircraft sent out some VHS out to subscribers of this version of Jimmy Franklin's performance. Needless to say, after seeing the routine, I was hooked!

What a routine Jimmy Franklin flew. No neck breaking tumbling or out of control manuevers, just plain old smooth positive G flying and graceful control.

Wow! I just don't know what to say. My plane is in both of those several times! Certainly has been a good plane to me! She's taken me places I would have never gotten to experience.

Very nice! Is the speedster the only one you can do rolls with? Because of the shorter wing?
No. My model 4 with long wings rolls fairly quickly.
