    Default bungees model IV 1050

    Happy Holidays of course!
I'm replacing my model IV 1050 gear bungees again but find the aluminum crimp collars on the new bungees (from Debra) are too thick to get thru the upper space between the steel tubes when a couple of bungee wraps are in place?

When I look at YouTube videos of how others do the job, it looks like the clearance between the steel tubes is smaller, significantly smaller in my plane.

The last bungee change using Kitfox bungees went well but the aluminum crimp collars had a thinner diameter.

    Comments or suggestions?

PM me an address. I'll send you a set that will work, made by our own Lowell Fitt. FoC.

I’ve recently made a new set using wraps of .032 safety wire. Stretch the bungee material, glue and wrap a couple of 1/2” wraps then cover with heatshrink.
