Need to buy tires for my project 4/1200. Anybody have any thoughts on 22-8.00x8 6ply? Several of the guys out here use 6.50x8, but I think I want something bigger without going to 27's or using ATV tires. Comments?

Use the Desser 22x8.5x6 4-ply; light, smooth, reasonably big, and inexpensive.

He has 8" rims I believe.... I just recently got a set of Nancos 21/12/8 off of ebay for $49 each with free shipping. Just looked, this is a better deal than I got, if I'm reading it right. JImChuk

Does anybody else find Desser's web site rather miserable to shop from. They don't list that 22" tire if you shop by size. Kitfox's aren't in there list of aircraft. You have to select Piper aircraft if you look up J3's. They don't list smooth tires. What a pain. Do you have a specific suggestion to see these 22" tires?
Put in "aero classic tundra" in the Desser site search box and they will come right up.

That works. Thanks Jim
I'm using the Desser 22". They work great.

Mike, maybe you can tell us the performance specs of your set up on the post I made about the Kitfox 4 on barnstormers that has a Jabiru engine. JImChuk
Ok, I'll post it over on that thread.

I received my 8.50-6 Dessert smoothies a couple days after getting home from Oshkosh. Dessert had them for $195 with free shipping so I bought a set.
