Another shot.
Built the tanks from 5052 .065 thick. Tested then coated twice with red coat
Liner to seal and "glue" the overlapped seams. Time will tell if it works?

That's just black plastic strapping with steel crimp seal. Nice to work with
And should be strong enough.

Those are some very nice looking tanks. Can they be bonded in place like the fiberglass tanks? Why the coating on the inside, are the welded seams not leak proof?

The tanks are bonded in place just like the glass tanks.
The coating inside the tanks acts like an adhesive in the places that are overlapped(almost all seams were overlapped ). This reduces the chances of welds cracking from vibration and oil canning. The tanks were completely air tight before any liner was installed. The liner is somewhat flexable after curing
And sticks like crazy to a well prepped surface.
