HI Gary,
Thanks for your input on this - I will go ahead and make up the rack higher up. By the way, any thoughts on the degree to which degaussing would nullify the effect of the steel frame?
cheers

No personal experience, but from what I have read, it sounds like as much wizardry/time is required as skill/expertise. I decided not to go down that dark path.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the photos. I actually saw them in your previous post. Very helpful. I was just curious as to why the tabs for the extended baggage were not used but John has provided the answer. I will get
To and fabricate a similar shelf. Thanks again.
Cheers

Today I installed the header tank. Then uninstalled it and gave it a coat od epoxy primer. this was a fairly straight forward task, although with the new aluminium tank I had to extrapolate a bit with the fittings detailed in the manual. I measured and cut the exhaust tube so the flange will be flush with the fabric. The quick drain fitting is about 5-10mm inside the flange - I assume this is desirable to protect it? With the depth the fitting screwed in and the limits imposed by the attach lugs this was the 'natural' position it assumed. Anyone see any problems with this?
It's good to be back into it!
Cheers

Last photo was upside down in case you you trying to figure out the orientation! Here is one with a coat of primer on it. ( I am actually curious to see if it posts upside down!)
If any of you OZ Fox people are at Natfly this weekend, would love to catch up. We are camping here and found the fabric workshop. 0417002886.

Not a chance this year, Ross.
I am working over Easter.

That explains why there was no sign of you at Mt Beauty over the weekend.
