    Default Vinyl on Oratex

Want to do some trim work using vinyl. From what I see, 3M 2080 is pretty much the popular vinyl but did see some comments on the net about it sticking to a mat surface. Those of you with Oratex and vinyl experience give me any insight? Sources you purchased your vinyl from?

    Thanks ahead of time.

So far 318 hours and vinyl is still on and looks just like it did 2 years ago. I did try some cheaper samples and they did not stay on. 3m only IMO.

    Gary,

    I really like AeroGraphics -http://www.aerographics.com/

Everything I've gotten from them has been 3M brand. They've been great to work with on both of my homebuilts (they've been around for a long time).

It's worked perfectly on the Oratex for me.

I did a lot of vinyl work on our build using 3M 2080 and also Avery. I wouldn't use the Avery again, as it doesn't adhere as well as the 3M and is harder to work with (in my experience). The 3M is great, but make sure your shop is warm (60+) and have a heat gun and a vinyl application glove handy.

I also used aerographics.com for letters and 2080 for graphics on Oratex. No issues.

We had a company print on Arlon DPF 8000. We'd got few months on it with no issue. Allowed us to print our graphics and strips the colors we wanted. Its adhered to Oratex.
