I need some right rudder in level flight and would like to see the different tabs you guys have installed on your rudders. Thanks in advance.

Take some aluminum and cover it with oratex and then use 3m adhesive to your rudder. Make the rudder tab long enough that you can bend it by hand to adjust it. Set it for how you fly most of the time because any other config will take rudder pedal. I did mine for full fuel and by myself so when on long flights I can set the autopilot and take my feet off the pedals. I can take a photo for you tomorrow. These planes are very sensitive to rudder. If I build again I think I would install an adjustable rudder trim.

This works well for me... I did paint it after testing and adjusting size.

This question comes up a lot when someone finishes and start flying their new Kitfox, Congrats Harlan! I did a history of my rudder trim journey back in 2008 with photos under a post started by Dave S. title "Rudder trim" on 10/22/2008 (post #5) but because I lack tech savvy I haven't figured out how to grab that post and move it here, little help here moderators. At any rate in summation, rudder trim like elevator trim is dynamic and I found one size doesn't fit all. Airspeed, power settings, airplane attitude etc . all obviously cause changes in rudder requirements . Especially if you have an autopilot, you need a way for absolute ball centered trim authority inflight or the plane will fly wing low to compensate for the yaw. Never liked having to weight a rudder pedal with my foot on a long cross country. Bruce N199CL

This one is Aluminum with aluminum tabs riveted into the rudder. Fully adjustable, that's why you can see the bolts.
