Default Bubble doors.... Heavy or light? Tinted or clear?

Thinking of getting bubble doors for my model V. Don't know whether to get .125 or the .100 .. does anyone have any problems with the lighter ones?

Recommend tint or clear. I would think tinted would obscure the view... its under the wing so not much for sure shading. Your thoughts?

I have tinted glass all the way around. I don't regret it.

it's not exactly limo tint. The plane I flew at Stick & Rudder had everything tinted. Here's how it looked from the outside:

Maybe I'm wrong, but I am not aware there is any thick or thin option for the bubble doors. Maybe you are thinking the flat polycarbonate (Lexan) doors that some folks use in various thicknesses? The bubble doors are acrylic and only come one thickness as far as I know; however, you have a choice of clear or a couple tint shades. I also recommend the tinted, light smoke shade.

Apparently LP Aero offers two thicknesses for the Kitfox bubble doors; but I was referring to the Kitfox order sheet where there is no option for bubble door thickness. It only comes in one thickness (from Kitfox factory). I am not sure which thickness the factory has standardized on, but I guess you could special order the different thickness if you wanted to, since Kitfox gets those doors from LP Aero. Personally I would stick with the factory standard thickness which has proved good over many years.
