Back in the paint booth to spray the final coat of Poly Spray (Silver) then the two coats of base white ( PolyTone Insignia White #105).

Hey Norm. Happened to get some time at the project today after about 2 weeks away from it. Worked on the main landing gear today. Also Phil and I worked on Phil's Kitfox installing two new tires on his main gear. Tomorrow we will lay out the tapes on my fuselage for the paint scheme and stripes. It has warmed up into the 70's now so painting is again possible. After taping is done I'll scuff the areas of the fuselage where the color will go.
    Are you in Arizona yet?

Not in AZ yet. Not sure if I will make it south this year. Good to hear your getting some progress and some flying. Part of my problem is too much flying and not enough progress. I have the mount for the 912 built, the baggage compartment built, the speed tail and wide body mount done. I keep saying I can cover next week. Then next week never comes. I will start a thread when I start getting some dacron on.

Your plane is looking good with the nice white on her. Next week finally got here and I put some covering on my IV. Now next week will be mount the motor. Well maybe not, lots of work to go on covering, tapes, n paint. Still nice to finally put a dress on my old girl.

Haven't posted for a while. Some progress.
Grove landing gear painted and installed. Grove wheels/brakes installed with tires. Also tail skid installed. Rudder installed, maybe for the last time.
    We'll see.

No building this weekend. Just flying.

Too bad you mounted the main gear in the wrong location. Much more fun in a more forward location.

Dick, I looked in the build manual and it said for maximum fun, mount gear in this location. So I did. Maybe it was a misprint..

I think Dick had it correct. Just think of all of the go in circles on landings you are going to miss, least we forget the more entertains cross wind landing. Your missing the fat tires as well. 😁 I know I have much more entertainment since I converted mine to a Tail Dragger. Hours of boredom, interrupted with some really great landings, and then some landings that look like I never flew a TD. Now I will point out I don't see any Yellow Paint.

Looking good my friend keep up the good work.

I have no idea where that inserted line came from. Damned apple!
