One day weekend due to Easter but still accomplished a little. Did a little epoxy varnishing on the fuel tank ribs.

Installed the Laker Leading Edge standoffs on the front edge of the spars. Cut five pieces of the provided stock leading edge cuff into 2" pieces. Roughed them and the spars up (spars get the Red Scotchbrite treatment) and cleaned them before bonding to the proper locations using the leading edge template that comes with the kit. The two end standoffs must be flush with the wingtip rib and at the root end flush with the #1 rib. They came out nice on both wings with the template and tape to temporarily hold them in the correct location while bonding dries.

Put the LLE pieces on the wing just to get an idea what lies ahead. Must be trimmed and bonded of course. That may happen Monday if my job allows an early escape.

Thank you very much guys. I'll try to show more detail of the LLE process in the next couple posts. I've flown two Kitfoxs with the LLE installed and I would hit the big "LIKE" button if we had one.

Looking at your baggage compartment, might you need access to the back to check the linkages?

Paul, that can be accomplished through an inspection hole on the bottom.

I've never opened up any of my inspection holes. Access through the baggage compartment makes it very easy.
