With those results I would certainly be thinking about installing an oil cooler.

I never ran a cooler on my Yellow plane. If you are using synthetic oil (Mobil 1 Racing 4T for example) the oil temp redline is 285ยบ.

Yes I suppose you could get by without a cooler, but why:

-expose all the rubber parts and hoses to that life shortening temp.
-run a higher risk of vapor lock.
-lock yourself into synthetic oil and no Mogas.

Just sayin what my thinking would be.

Thumbs up Re: 361 KF First Flight

Just an update, got my oil temp under control. Installed a cooler, works very well.
Also wanted to share I got my tail Dragger endorsement. First solo flight of
My kit fox was 1 hour and 40 min. I don't know how many Take offs and landings
    A bunch for sure!
Wanted to ask what the tiny tach set up for the 912 is,mine seems unstable??
Don't trust it. Changed the number of raps. Still not as good as I would like to see.
Also have just ordered new floats for the Bing carbs, got one float sinking
Already! Thanks to everyone for your help !

    Mike,
Great to hear. I'll have to keep my eyes to the sky for the colors.
