    Default Tiny-tach

I'm looking for some help with my newly purchased Tiny-Tach. First, do you know what setting is used for 582 rotax? Can you wrap the red wire around both spark plug wires to get a reading from either ignition? Will the red wire stay on the spark plug wire on it's own or do you tape it down? Have you found the Tiny Tach to be accurate and reliable?

    Thanks for help

    Pieter,
I have a 912 so it is a different setting than the 582. Call Tiny Tach. They were very helpful when I bought mine. They said to wrap the wire around just one spark plug wire. It stays just fine when wrapped tight. Very accurate. I had trouble getting it set right at first and called them. They told me exactly how many wraps to take and it worked great then.

Anyone know the crank degrees for a 582? I am thinking 180 maybe?
