The camloc studs come in different lengths. Get the proper length before you shim, unless you need the spacing.

Where the tabs are in relation to where the lexon sits on the fuselage, shorter camlocks will put a lot of stress on the lexon. This is why I think the spacer is the only way to go. At least that is the situation with mine.

Do I understand correctly that the spacer is attached to the face of the airframe tab, between the airframe and the glass?
Eddie
Yes, that's where I put it. Get some big thick nylon washers. You may have to enlarge the center hole and may have to trim/flatten on side.

Panel is cut, hopefully I will get it painted, engraved, and start mounting things in the next week or so.

Haven't been too busy on the plane lately. Lots of end of season weddings plus work.
Panel is painted. Still trying to get it labeled so I can start putting it together permanently. I made a CAD file of what needs to go the panel so I'm just looking to get that laser etched or digital printed.
I made a bracket for my prop brushes. The original one is supposed to go where my external alt bracket is and I can't use the through the gear bix method as my EFI manifold is in the way. I just have to lathe some bushings to finish it off.
Then I pulled the wings off again to make room for doing al the electrical all winter. Still looking on track for a spring take off I think.
